Adding a puppy to your household is often a very fantastic choice. It is also decision that includes different very important decisions that will need to be made– one being when to begin training your new dog. The earlier you begin training your dog with a professional dog trainer in Fox Lake, the easier it will be to minimize unwanted and unpleasant behaviors. This is because from the start you are setting up clear boundaries and rules for your dog to abide by. By withholding training from your dog, you are not doing any favors by your dog and regrettably could be putting them on the wrong path. Much like a child without any rules or boundaries, they will push their limits over and over again and can commonly be unpleasant to be around. And to no fault of their own, they have just not been taught what is expected of them and what is appropriate and what is unacceptable.

Having your dog trained properly is undoubtedly among the best things that you can do for him or her. Not only do they respond to the commands that you give, but they also usually tend to be far happier, and more fulfilled dogs compared to dogs that are not. This is because you are providing mental stimulation; which allows them to use their brain instead of being bored and seeking out ways to amuse themselves. Trained dogs are also less likely to end being re-homed, euthanized, or surrendered to a shelter; which is the key reason why it is so important to start training your dog early on. And if you don’t know how to train your dog or how to stop unwanted behaviors; then it is always best to speak to a professional dog trainer in Fox Lake. They will be able to help you to better understand what your dog may need.

More About Fox Lake

Fox Lake is a village in Grant and Antioch townships in Lake County, Illinois and Burton Township, McHenry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 10,579 at the 2010 census.[4]

The village was incorporated on December 15, 1906, and certified by the state on April 13, 1907.[5] The area was first explored during the 17th century by the French. In the late 19th century, it was known as Nippersink Point.[6] Early in the 20th century, there were but a few hundred residents. During the summer season, however, the population would reach an estimated 20,000 people, and at its peak, the area had 50 hotels and 2,000 cottages.[7] Infamous Chicago gangster Al Capone allegedly utilized an establishment now known as the Mineola Hotel and Restaurant as a hideout. In 1979, the Mineola was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and may be the largest wooden frame structure in the state.[8]
